An Post digital stamp from €2.00

An Post has launched its new digital stamp, which you can now purchase through its free downloadable app through the App Store and Google Play.

According to “Ireland’s leading provider of postal, e-commerce and financial services”, a digital stamp is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase and can be purchased for immediate use.

After purchase, you can write its unique number, which can consist of twelve different numbers or letters, in the upper right corner of your shipment.

Once the code is created, its letter-sorting technology will recognize it as a “real” stamp when processing it for delivery.

A postman then scans the code just before the mail reaches its final destination.

An Post will notify the sender via email once the item has been delivered. You can also receive a push notification via its app or an SMS on your mobile phone.
