Casino launches Arkansas’ first sports betting app for iPhone

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (KARK/KAIT) – Arkansas’ first mobile sportsbook is now available for iOS devices in the Apple App Store.

According to content partner KARKthe Betly Arkansas sports betting app allows Southland Casino customers and others to bet anywhere in the natural state.

The mobile app became available after mobile sports betting rules for Arkansas were approved in February.

The online version was launched on March 5, while the app was made available to Android users on March 8.

Luisa Woods, vice president of Delaware North’s gaming division, said the Arkansans can now have fun with “pro basketball playoffs and other betting opportunities.”

“It took a bit of time to go through the respective App Store processes, but now the app is readily available for download, so anyone in Arkansas who wants can have fun with the ongoing pro basketball playoffs and other betting opportunities,” Woods mentioned.

Arkansas collected $583,000 in tax revenue from sports betting in 2020 and $1.2 million in 2021, according to KARK.

An official at Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff told KARK that the casino is in the “end state of this process” to develop its sports betting app. Hot Springs-based Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort hasn’t announced plans for a mobile sports betting app.
