FC Cincinnati Academy Residency Program Seeking Host Families

In June 2020, FC Cincinnati Academy launched the residency program to support the expansion of the National Youth Recruitment Club to fill its five teams. The FCC Academy is currently looking for more host families to help the young members of Orange and Blue.

“Our residency program has been essential in creating and cultivating a competitive professional academy,” said Dave Schureck, administrator of FC Cincinnati Academy. “Adding high potential players to our strong Cincinnati-based players allows us to develop a truly professional atmosphere. “

The FCC Academy recruits players from across the country and internationally, which means residency needs are required to accommodate non-market players who have moved to the Greater Cincinnati area to compete for the Orange and Blue. .

“The families in Greater Cincinnati who have been and are currently involved as foster families are just amazing,” said Schureck. “As a result, we have several players from across the country who would love to be part of our academy. We are now looking for more great families to be a part of our program. “

The residency program allows non-local Academy players to live with selected host families and attend local or online schools during the team’s training and competitive season, which typically runs from early August to late June.

Host families receive $ 500.00 / month for each player they host. In return, host families must provide three nutritious meals a day, a private room for the Academy player, access to laundry, internet, television and a safe home environment. More information can be found, HERE.

In 2021, two local players from FC Cincinnati Academy in Arquimides “Quimi” Ordonez and Beckham Sunderland secured places in the senior Orange and Blues squad. FC Cincinnati’s goal is for that number to continue to grow.
