Step 1. Run it Mac App Store.

2nd step. To research for the app or game you want to share using the search bar in the top left corner.

Step 3. There are two ways to do this and the two options are described below:

  • Right-click on the name of the application then click on Copy link.
  • Click the app name to view more details, click the Share icon in the upper right corner, then click Copy link.

The route you take is entirely up to you. Both of these methods do exactly the same thing and you’ll end up with a link for the app or game that will take you directly to the Mac App Store once opened.

If you come across a Mac app using Safari, sharing the link is much easier because you just need to copy the URL from the address bar and share it instead.

Keep one thing in mind; the app or game you share with someone won’t show up if it’s not available in their region.

Instead of just copying the link to the app or game, you also have the option to share the link directly with someone using Messages, AirDrop, Mail or simply save it to Notes & Reminders. There are several things you can do and it’s great to know if you’re new to the Mac.

And that’s how you share a link to an app or game with someone from the Mac App Store.
