McAfee is hiring an experienced PRODUCT ENGINEER, the candidate will work virtually for this role. They are looking for innovation engineers and inventors with an entrepreneurial spirit. Roles and responsibilities:
The ideal candidate must be able to:
Research new technologies, usage trends, platforms, security landscape and solutions. Identify innovation opportunities that can create new product lines for McAfee in the rapidly changing mobile and PC application landscape.
Research, design and development of next-generation software to protect digital user interactions on the web, mobile devices, PCs and wearable/IoT devices. Design and develop new solutions for emerging security, privacy, identity, transaction and data threats.
Assess technical feasibility by creating a rapid PoC, find technology solutions to gaps, and create strategic IP, if needed.
Rapidly develop innovation concepts, demonstrate/evangelize concepts, and practice rapid iterative product development to turn promising concepts into successful products.
Execute with a sense of urgency to turn ideas into products throughout the innovation lifecycle. Design solutions from the ground up, extracting the essence of user pain points and navigating the space of product opportunities.
2+ years of hands-on experience developing software on single or multiple Windows, Linux, Android/iOS, Web, Cloud services with a focus on security, usability, performance and integration.
Must have a demonstrated ability to find elegant solutions to difficult software engineering technical problems. Having a portfolio of academic quality publications and a convincing patent portfolio to show the ability to solve complex problems and create new technologies is a plus.
Demonstrated experience building software products, including automated unit testing, rapid iteration to optimize application experience and performance.
Experience building public cloud-based microservices (preferably AWS) using Golang/node.js is a big plus.
